And the technicians they employ are good men and women that do their jobs very, very well. You will be rewarded for your due-diligence and good customer service, I can guarantee you that. Let me be realistic, if you're a Plumber, HVAC installer/specialist or Electrical Service Tech/Specialist, this is a great place to work. I already had a job, told them I was in school, and that I needed a place to work for a number of years and I was hired with the intent for no more than two years of employment. Sounds crazy, I honestly don't mean to whine, cry or be immature over this job, but I can't help to look back on this situation and wonder why pull me from another company I was already with for this level of treatment is beyond me. I told them time and time again I was looking for a position to grow and hold for a number of years, but I failed to see them training the intern for my position until I was well entangled into the juggling act of dealing with the ever increasing workload I found was never required from me from an older woman who retires in three years as I type this. Looking back I'm not sure why I was hired, I feel naive in not seeing how everything I described about myself never really made an impact with one of the HR representatives. I find my time there was atypical from the others, as hard as I worked under scrutiny from another as my supervisor shrugged it off. Abacus isn't necessarily a bad place to work considering the benefits and what type of role you fulfill there.
